John, my copy of Visio 2003 has an option under "Save As" to save files
as Visio 2002 format. I don't have Visio 2002, so I don't know how
"well" this works or if you are using features in your drawings that
weren't available in the 2k2 version. Also, I understand that options
available in the program may be set according to the whim of how
paranoid your company's IT department is and what options they enable on
applications they install for users (even those with git-ur-dun
technical savvy like us tek riturs).
