We use wikis at work, and I think some of our "thought leadership"
marketing types use blogs.

In re: personal blogs - I've had one for a while now, and here are my rules...

-- NEVER mention employer by name.  Personally, I try to avoid making
even vague references.
-- NEVER blog on company time or equipment.

Getting fired for writing something in a blog is common enough that
there's now a term for it.  It's called "getting dooced," in honor of
Heather Armstrong, who was fired for writing about work (and
colleagues) in her blog, Dooce.
