Not at all, John.  I actually agree with you completely.  I wasn't
suggesting that the loopholes in the Bible make it "not the Bible."  In the
same way, the phallic symbolism in these classics do not make them "not
classics."  I was merely suggesting that something with enough loopholes and
misunderstandings in it to fill a semester wouldn't be my first pick for an
example of good quality technical communication.
