Personally, I use *Un*structured Frame because it allows me more
flexibility within my documents. Someone please correct me if I am wrong
- but my understanding of structured frame is that it is more rigid in
the placement of elements. For example, a heading two always follows a
heading one, and so on (if you set up your template that way.)

I am by no means an expert on structured Frame.

Subject: structured or unstructured FM

Hello, I'm new to FM (in fact, just started trying it out today) and
was presented with two options during startup - structured or
unstructured. One difference I read about was that instead of
presenting paragraph formats or styles, structured FM uses something
called elements.

My basic question is, "Is everything moving toward structured FM?" If
so, should I bother learning unstructured FM? I don't want to waste
time learning unstructured FM if it will soon be obsolete.

thanks,

Andy
