I agree that the OpenSource bug is out there and is contagious. I've
been using OpenSource tools in addition to my proprietary ones for a
few years now. But really, for most people, it isn't going to matter.
Only the true alpha-geek tech writers will truly harness the power of
OpenSource and give back to the apps they use and love/need. The rest
will just use them, which is no different than using other tools,
except they're (currently) a cheaper solution as far as the bank
account goes.
