Thanks very much for all the advice! This has been great. I'm going to
take a serious look at all these products and give one (or more) a try.

My repetitive stress problems started about a year ago when I spent a
few weeks doing nothing but copying and pasting text all day. At first I
got a "cold hand" and then, like J. Paul mentioned, the tendon in my
right index finger became inflamed to the point where it was painful to
click. I've been to see my family doctor and had a few tests done. The
verdict was that I don't have a serious problem, but I do need to "take
it easy" for a while... My problem gets even worse because, like some of
Kenneth's friends, I love to play PC games in my spare time... So I just
can't win!

Dan, the applications that I currently use include: FrameMaker, Outlook,
Dreamweaver, WebWorks etc... I've actually managed to learn a lot
keyboard shortcuts for these. I do a lot of "file management", which
involves renaming folders, dragging and dropping, and cutting and
pasting. This is where my real problems begin... It's a very repetitive
process, and I'm working on making it more automated.

I think I'll try a track ball mouse/device and spend some time trying to
learn to use the mouse with my left hand. I looked at the roller mouse
and it looks really interesting, thanks for sharing!

Rebecca, that mouse pad sounds like a great idea. I'm going to look into
that too!

Thanks again!

Ryan

Just out of curiosity, what applications do you primarily use? With the
right keyboard shortcuts and other alternatives, some programs can be
used almost mouselessly.
