After seeing the following in a job solicitation:

"...A leading Global IT consulting firm in Bangalore is seeking JAVA
professionals who've passed out from Indian Top 10 Universities...."

John Posada wondered if the usage was correct (i.e., can one "pass out" of
an educational institution).

This is the first time I've seen this usage and I would be very surprised if
it's correct anywhere.  Ties in somewhat with a thread several weeks ago on
whether one can, for example, "graduate Harvard" or whether one "graduates
from Harvard."  I believe the general consensus was that one "graduates
from" a college, university, etc. So even if one could "pass out from
Harvard," one could not "pass out Harvard."
