I only have Acrobat 6 Professional available, but from it, I would suggest you look up "Creating
pdfs from multiple files" in the help for creating one document.
You can even add pagenumbering via headers and footers for the whole document.
Things to consider:
- Table of contents for the whole book? How do you create it?
- Same for index
- Same for bookmarks
I don't know if there is any chance to join the chapters manually in Word without destroying the
layout or if the master document feature has been fixed to something reliable, but with all text
in one file it would be easier to set up the three navigations mentioned above.
Last thought: How about converting to OpenOffice? AFAIK, it handles master documents reliable.
