Another term which _may_ be used here in Germany is "Technikredakteur". But this is much less
common than "Technischer Redakteur". All job offerings for example I've read in the past months
were looking for a "Technische/r Redakteur/in" (which includes both the male and femal form of the
term).

The reasoning behind "Technikredakteur" iis that we are not technical editors, i.e. the editors
are not technical (as in robots, cyborgs, computers). But it seems to be a loosing battle.
