Al,
I would welcome the opportunity to be a 'snowbird' and go to AK in the
summer.
Who can forget the 'wonderful people' and the unequaled environment of the
Great Land.
My 1-week visit to AK in 2003 only confirmed the way I feel about Alaska.
I might even consider driving from Florida to Fairbanks and Anchorage again.
And see the improvements on the Alcan. (I heard that it is paved all the
way.)
This would be accompanied by a lot of visiting the places in the 'Lower 48'
that I have not had the opportunity to visit.
