What does my location have anything to do with how you evaluate my comments?

Only those that involve geography.
Pay rates vary everywhere, by region. Someone being out of work (for example, in the computer hardware field) in the middle of Iowa is evaluated differently than someone in the same situation in the middle of silicon valley. Someone telecommuting in Hawaii can be envied, whereas someone telecommuting in Chicago, less so :-)

Also, consider some folks using work accounts might have no choice of
what they put in their sig.

When and where possible, of course...
