How about a shortcut to a batch job that invokes IE to open the URL?

I just put this in a batch file (all on one line, of course):

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
http://www.html-indexer.com

and it works like a charm; oughta work with an intranet URL, too.

You can even put the IE icon on the shortcut, just for show.
