You have hit the 'nail on the head'.

There are multiple decisions to be made in describing the ending of a
process of making changes.

The OK, Cancel, Save, Save and Exit, More changes, Apply, etc. decisions.

Not knowing what the steps were that were before the OK/Cancel, it is
difficult to
actually determine what was intended.

All 'procedures'/'processes' should have one entry point and one exit point.

Was the document a 'users guide' or a design document?

Would it be understood by a novice engineer just coming into the
company/environment, or only by experienced engineers.
