Naw, just a writer who's either too lazy to list the different
configurations in a table or else hasn't been able to get the SMEs to
cough up the info.

That sort of statement in a manual is the sort of thing I look for when
reviewing a job candidate's portfolio. It's a reliable indicator of sloppy
work. I wouldn't refuse an interview to someone who wrote this, but I'd
ask lots of questions about his or her work habits.
