Hello all,

I have a question. And since the only stupid question
is one not asked, I broach this subject to you all.
After speaking with various developers, and coming
into technical writing from journalism, I am puzzled
about knowledge amoung boss types concerning the term
GUI.

We write programs for customer sites. Often the
computer knowledge amoung the employees is low to
nada. I wonder how many of the "bosses" or upper level
people that make the decisions to purchase the
software for their computers/printers know the term
"GUI". I must admit I did not at first, but I come
from a low computer background myself.

Have you had to explain what a GUI is? To upper levels
or boss types?

Thank you. I will relay my findings on your opinions
to my developers (and one of us will then owe the
other lunch.)

Bemused GUI person.
