Business needs = money. I'd love to focus on a higher purpose or
greater good, but let's be honest with ourselves... Business means
making money.

I unfortunately don't have an answer for you on how to make your
situation work. Each situation is unique. But do focus more on the
business bottom line (the green stuff), and be sure you spend the time
to analyze those who you're addressing with your proposal for quality
improvement.
