> Pal, your writing sucks.

I take this to mean "Pal, according to the
standards used around here, your writing
sucks." Maybe if you or I applied for a
job where Rahul works, we would be told
that our writing is too plain and abrupt,
not enough fun to read, over too quickly,
devoid of the added value that comes from
interesting language and images. From
market to market, I imagine different
qualities may be admired and different
mistakes may be forgiven.
