Hello, all,

We're redoing our help system and have decided to
use drop-down hotspots throughout most of our pages.
Do hotspots deter or enhance readability?

Our thinking is it will both enhance and deter.

Enhances: People usually use help to find specific
info. They will see a heading among others, create a
visual filter, and choose what they need.

Deters: People may not know what they're looking for.
We're improving our labeling and navigation system to
try and fill some gaps.

We haven't done much usability testing, so take it
onto consideration. What do you think about hotspots?

Thanks,
Anthony Hernandez
