That'sa catch-22. You can't gain trust and respect if you don't put
your foot down, and if you put your foot down you won't gain trust and
respect...

You're in a classic political battle. You need to remove yourself from
the issues and focus on the good of the company, and have data to back
up your assertions. Then you let the pro data weigh against the con
data and let the most fact-laden side win.
