People, people, people.....can we PLEASE stop beating up on Sarah?
I have read all of the emails, and I'm amazed how many people attacked
her.
Let's face facts here. If you live and work in America, it is highly
unlikely that you will stay with your current employer until you retire.
In other countries, it is very common to work for one company until you
retire. The company actually becomes a second family for the employee.
With that being said, it stands to reason that American companies
*reward* their employees with their paycheck. How many of us have seen
a bonus check? It has become less common to filter bonuses down to the
workforce; it now appears to be reserved for upper level management.
Additionally, healthcare and other *benefits* are starting to diminish
as well.
Why is this occurring, other than to boost profit margins?
I do believe the real question pertained to job hybridization as a
byproduct of cost saving measures. In short, if you don't like the job
description, don't be indignant about it; simply don't apply for the
job.
