Don't allow the personal worth or esteem issues brought up by this
situation to affect the quality of your professional work. You are not
there to make friends. It's nice if that happens, but it's not the point
of being there.

The people around you are creating a lot of noise and you're not tuning it
out. And therefore you are creating more noise in your own head. Filter it
out, get the job done and honor your commitments to your boss and users or
customers.
