Speaking of 1099 contract work-- I have been approached by Writing
Assistance Inc to do 1099 work. They are functioning as a "middle man" for
a customer who needs a technical writer. They say they won't pay me until
the customer pays them for my work. Is this the way contracting 1099s
should work? Aren't they responsible for paying me within 30 days of my
invoice, regardless of whether their customer pays them (for the work I
did) or not? What's your advice? Where can I find out if they are a
reputable company?
