Is it possible to create a PDF macro or JavaScript that on conversion
from a Microsoft Application (Word, PPT) file will convert specified
strings to hyperlinks in the PDF?

Say the source string is "lastname, firstname". The conversion creates
"<a href="mailto:lastfirst";>lastname, firstname</a>" in the PDF. Thus a
static piece of text converts to a link during the PDF generation.

Before I invest time, I want to see if anyone knows this is possible.

Thanks,

Barry
