Hi Sunila,
I disagree that XML is not widely used. In fact, Intercom magazine (STC's
monthly magazine) has done several articles on it. And the James River
chapter of STC is highlighting XML for tech writers (see www.stc.org and
find the chapter). Too, RoboHelp uses XML extensively...and open source
groups are looking increasingly to tech writers for help in their weakest
area, which is documentation (that is, that's the area of OSD that's been
given short shrift). Finally, many tech writers use Adobe's FrameMaker,
whose version 7.x integrates XML abilities.
