Yes, I have, and I think it's on its way to take over "data center." While
Microsoft still uses "data center" and its style guide prescribes two words,
its own server product is called "Datacenter Edition" and may be causing the
change to occur. Some prominent technology magazines are using one word
exclusively, but most people are still using two words. After the initial
revulsion, I'm finding it a lot easier to read one word. Were I in your
position, I'd let them use one word without a fight.
