And, if the research I summarized yesterday in this thread is correct, there is good reason for that. Righties (the 75% of the population with diminished right hemispheres) tend to be more conformist than lefties and therefore naturally distrustful of them. On the one hand (guess which) cultural transmission depends on conformism and conservatism. On the other hand (guess which), innovation is a requirement for the survival of a society facing evolving threats.
