Hi Lee,
Good question--I don't know. Whether the web-safe color palette is
obsolete doesn't really affect the wheels I've put together, since the
reason I created them was to help people who don't have a strong color
sense to pick colors that work well together. I knew I wouldn't live long
enough to organize the entire visible spectrum, so I went with the smaller
subset. With over 200 colors to choose from, you can do some pretty
sophisticated designs with the web-safe palette, my wheels just make it
easier and (I hope) better.
