Thanks for the suggestions Geoff,

The problem is that, as I mentioned, I was one of the contributors, not
the author. I don't understand why they don't update it either... But, I
wrote 'only' 3% of the book (3 of the 100 hacks), not enough for an
e-book, and they are not all that relevant to each other either because
they are from different chapters (hence, the series idea won't work). I
will list them to show my point:

- Recover Deleted Photos (file recovery util)
- Group Policy (policy settings related to 'media' tools such as Windows
Media Player)
- Screen Savers (policy and registry settings, and cool screensaver
stuff)

I assume that every PC consumers magazine already ran an article about
recovering deleted photos and the other two are very specific. Too
specific/difficult/technical for the ordinary computer user and perhaps
too extensive for a magazine. It's for the computer user at home mainly,
which includes IT pros.

Again, my main concern is to find readers. Advertising myself, through
these articles is not an issue because I normally don't write this kind
of material. It was just something that landed on my doorstep and I did
for fun/experience. Having said that, it is truly the best thing I've
written considering that in two of the three articles the author nor the
editor changed a single word (I know, it surprised me too ;)). I've
secretly been hoping that they would reconsider and indeed update the
book, but now, three months after it was cancelled, I just wanted it to
be read before it becomes entirely invalid. I guess the only option I
have left is indeed contacting some relevant websites / online
magazines.

Thanks for your time.

And thanks for mentioning Woody's Watch, I might be able to use that for
other e-books.
