Is your printer set as Distiller, or Acrobat PDF? File> Print> select the
Adobe product on you list of printers. Then make your PDF...
I found that setting my printer to Distiller was what solved the "target
drift" ("s intended as a ironic substiution for "why the FRICK isn't this
FRICKIN' thing working!"...and those "s were to indicate a (somewhat
Bowlderized) quote) for me. I made Distiller my default printer so I
wouldn't forget while making PDFs, and I just select another printer when
making a dead tree version.
...which reminds me--I should really see how the "frickin'" PDF process
works on my new computer...
