John,
First, "application system administrator" sounds unduly confusing, as
it appears to carry different meanings than that of the system
administrator privileges for the system itself (the machine with its
OS, etc.). Why not simply call it "application administrator" and
leave the confusing "system" part out entirely?
Second, can the original relinquish the authority *without* appointing
a substitute?
Third, if you keep the presently awkward "application system
administrator" designation, I'd compress it a great deal into
something like:
The first person who starts the Management Console automatically
becomes the initial Application System Administrator. Additional
individuals can be promoted to that status, and anyone who is can
remove those privileges from any other.
