Turns out that someone else on the techshoret list already posted the
following suggestion:

Try: http://www.pc-tools.net/dos/dosutils
The zip file contains a number of DOS utilities,
one of which is a Screen Capture.

He's referring to Screen Capture v2.01, about halfway down that Web page.
Won't it do the trick?
