Hello everyone,

I have a question that I would like input on. I am relatively new to TW and am preparing my first
project, directed towards system administrators. My products are printer-based solutions for large
companies. I am at the present researching System Administrators (know the audience!) and have come
up with some odd questions that I thought perhaps someone out here in TechWhirl land could lend me
some input on.

I am attempting to create a profile (general to specialized) of the system adminstrator. I
understand the duties, and the job description, but my question is: what in your experience, is the
level of experience of the "average" system administrator? Do they quake with fear at a new software
to learn, or are they all computer gods that point and click and it is perfect, with not a hair out
of place? I hardly think so, but then again, I do not know enough of them to poll and ask. Do they
bother to read the manual? Is a layout of general information to advanced appropriate for this
group, or would they be insulted by the thought?

So I ask you all for your experiences. Thank you all.

Kind Regards,
---
