For those familiar with HTML, try reading section 4 from the following:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/#diffs

It clearly describes the differences between SGML based HTML 4.0 and XML
based XHTML 1.0.

Hardly Earth shattering. But, you'll notice that a few actually increase
the complexity and burden on the end-user/writer that is doing the writing
and tagging. The back-end processor does have an easier job though. :p
