Tony...whoever said that is full of ... I've been writing for 20
years and I still don't have the writing skills that I would like.
I think that maybe the opposite is true. So few writers can discuss
intelligently issues about task analysis, or for that matter,
anything that requires understanding, experience, and perception as
well as knowledge, yet they want to participate in discussions.
So...anyone with a tool can figure out how to use a tool, therefore,
much easier to write about.
It's also safer. making a public error about what button to push, no
big deal. However, make an error or make a controversial statement
about something that indicates the quality of what they are writing
about and it becomes apparent that perhaps the person isn't as
skilled as they claim...kinda like peer-review of their core skills.
