OTOH, for some reason most of the best tech writers I've ever had didn't
bother to use styles when creating their resumes in Word (they didn't do
much formatting in them, either, except to increase the size of their names
at the top and boldface them). And on a few occasions people have
asked me to help them get some document they had created in Word
onto their website, and I did in fact just reformat save as HTML out of
Word for them. In both cases, someone excluding any of us because of
our non-use of "advanced tools" in cases where they didn't seem to be
needed would have lost out. That's how life works sometimes when one
is inflexible and depends on "I always" rules.
