Some of our engineering Word documents have been coming in for editing with
what I believe is a cross-referencing feature that connects a section to
its reference number located in a table matrix in another section of the
document. The section number in the table is highlighted when it is
selected and a double click takes you to the section. This feature is not
used in our template and causes some trouble with editing. Can someone tell
me how to activate and de-activate this feature and how it affects updates
to the document? Is this done using Bookmarks? This is probably common
knowledge or repetitive to some of you. If so, I apologize for taking your
time but it seems like a useful way to update in-text callouts so I'm
curious.
