If recollection serves, much of Will's wordsmithing contributed to the
evolution from Middle English to Modern English, as many words now extant
were created from whole cloth by the Bard himself.

(Of course, I was no English or Linguistics major, and I'm sure the many
pickers of nits on this list will quickly correct me if I'm wrong.)

However, Will is good bluffing fodder. He's been quoted so
many times through the centuries that he's more or less been
validated by default. It's a rare person who has the nerve to
question his writing in a non-academic setting.
