So you suggest we gain fulfilment by proving our worth as sycophants and
simply prove our grovelling skills?
I doubt the complaints of lack of value recognition from the general tech
comm profession is about wanting to be valued for anything at all costs. I
would optimistically hope that the desire is to be valued as a technical
communicator, regarded as a professional, and recognized for knowledge and
talent.
In that light, "Find what your organisation values, dump your principles
and pride, and begin bootlicking" is hardly a constructive comment.
