Dear all,

Lurker goes public. I have been researching
the comments and complaints of using services such as
editfast.com and editavenue.com to find clients. Since
I am skeptical, I have not signed up for these yet and
haven't had an opportunity to review any of their
editor agreements yet.

I am concerned with liability under these independent
and quasi-independent relationships. Do editors
require clients to sign their own terms and conditions
documents? Do these companies assume all
responsibility and liability for the work of the
independent? By having clients sign independent terms
and conditions agreements, the editor would reveal
their identity and breach the agreement of
non-disclosure with the service. How does this work?

Thanks in advance for your responses. FYI - I am on
digest.
