Joel,

Using just Frame's functions:
Set up a blank table using the correct table format, table caption paragraph
style (if you use one), column widths, and heading paragraph styles. Then
open the Table Designer and click "Update All." Then when you insert a
table, it will use that blank table as sort of a template. You will still
have to paste in the text for the headings, but everything else will be
there.

Alternately, there's a plug-in called AutoText from Silicon Prairie Software
that you can use to set up the table with all of the headings and other
repeated text intact. The cost is $10 per user or $100 for a site license,
so it's not expensive at all.

Subject: FrameMaker and Table Designer Question

Does any know if it is possible to "pre-populate" column headers and row
headers when creating a new table format?

For example:

The database record layout tables that I create always contain the same
number of columns with the same column headings. It would be helpful to
insert the table with those column headings pre-populated.
