I'd love to have an answer.<<
I have wondered that as well. I have not been on the receiving end of any nastiness but have seen it and I do not know where it comes from or how it can be justified. It's just a job(or what you do)afterall. It's not the alfa and omega of life as we know it.
All I can surmise is maybe that kinda of attitude is a glimpse into what our culture has become. Look at all the "reality" shows that dominate our TVs. They are all mean-spirited and they all celebrate "getting over" on someone else. If any of us are doing that, it does not show class or intelligence. Maybe a character examination is in order.
