It feels like 1999 all over again. Yesterday, I accepted my first full-time gig in over three years.

Not only is it at a startup, but my skill sets commanded the same salary levels as five years ago.

Granted, the job isn't straight technical writing, but, then, neither were the similar jobs I had five years ago.
