Hi Lynne,

Select a row from a table then choose Table > Row Format. You will have some
pagination options, including top of page and keep with next/previous. If
your pagination changes, you have to manually remove these options, but they
do work better than inserting blank rows.

In Framemaker, is there a way to control where page breaks occur in tables
that run into multiple pages?

The problem we have here, is that if a deep row doesn't fit at the bottom of
a recto page, the whole row will be carried to the verso page, leaving a
huge white space at the bottom of the recto page. Similarily, sometimes we
want to force a row to the next page (for example, in cases where a row
contains text that is, in effect, a sub-title that introduces a group of row
entries, so we want that sub-title to appear on the next page, with its
related items).

Now I know that Frame can automatically insert "continued" statements in
headers and footers. But is there any way around having to manually add
blank rows if you want to force a row entry onto the next page?

I await the flood of wisdom with trembling anticipation....
