It's not just your monitor... that's how Word does Page Layout view (I
think).

Let him view it in Print Preview. (What you mean by online for a Word
document is unclear. When he opens it in his browser, from a link on a
site, it's still a Word document in his computer, so it's going to
behave like all Word documents.)
