Hello again, Joanne

I just re-read my reply and realized I got it exactly backwards! It looks
like your friend has already tried turning on the "Make Page Count Even"
option, so there's not much else to try other than creating a new book
file in case the current one's corrupt. Since he's on a deadline, if that
doesn't fix the problem, tell him to try typing a bunch of line breaks at
the end of each chapter to force the even page to appear (or will
FrameMaker just add another page to make the chapter end on an odd page?).
