Thanks for your repolies. I found it a bit humourous that some of you
assumed I didn't want to go to the seminar. Instead, I was asking the
question for a colleague who DOES want to go (prof. education, curiosity,
understanding of trends, interest in structured doc) but whose manager
asked, "Why does a tech writer need to know anything about XML?"
