::: And, Manager does not often mean (!=) leader, these
::: post-dotcom days, it seems. Unfortunate, that.
True. But, a manager is not a leader. A manager *can be* a leader, but the
title does not by any way mean that person should be looked up to as a
leader. "Manager" is a job title. Responsibilities usually include budgetary
work for the department, performance appraisals for the department, and
general conflict and time management and planning. "Leader" is not a job
title. It is what you become when you are true to yourself, your co-workers,
and your company, and you pursue and produce beneficial results by
leveraging the strengths of others and helping others either realize or
build strengths of their own.
::: Agreed, sometimes.
:::
::: I agree about the confrontation thing; but, to be
::: honest, I do that too.
As do I... I try to learn from them. No one is perfect, not even a leader.
