We have been using PVCS with Robohelp, but RoboHelp didn't like opening
read only projects so it wouldn't let us compile against a reference
directory. So, the way around it was to check everything out and build
everything locally.

Plus, I seem to recall something with opening a project and only having
one of the source files, but it has been 6 or 8 months since we started
this and my memory may be playing tricks with me.

If we remove the restriction of the reference directory being read only,
we could start compiling against that. By doing so, we run the risk of
accidentally modifying something in the reference directory outside of
PVCS and losing those changes. Not likely, but it is possible.

We are currently using Robo X3 and we might just go to X5 and use their
source control, but I am reluctant to do that at this point. However, we
are developing a new .net project and now might be the time to start the
new project on X5 from the beginning.

Does anyone else use PVCS with Robohelp? Any thoughts?
