Keep it flexible.
Build in options keyed to actual economic conditions.
"If I bring in $x 1st quarter, I will do all of Marketing Plan A.

If I have a loss for the quarter, I'll do Marketing Plan B (=bag groceries part-time until I pay off my computer loan)."
