Is this for an intranet, or internet?
If internet, what type of server?
I have looked at a zillion solutions during the past year.
I eventually settled on a solution based on Gallery, which you must install
on a web server that supports PHP.
Other things I've tried include: Picasa and Photoshop Elements. MyAlbum and
Memories on Web are freeware.
I gravitated from building web pages to Gallery, because I grew tired of
uploading so many html pages and supporting images. With Gallery, and
Gallery Remote (both opensource), I take my JPG's and upload with a few
clicks, and the work is done.
